Old 'For The Strength Of Youth' Pamphlets

Canard is right, and if I'd stopped mid point in searching, I might be an apostate spewing things to anyone I could find. Now sticking to the basics would be like they say in NOMdom... trying to put toothpaste back in the tube, impossible. My interest in LDS history has increased to the point of obsession. And visiting Nauvoo and Palmyra in the last couple of years was to attempt to understand it all (I'm a hands on learner). And the reason for it, was the shock to my system of learning the unknowns ( to me anyway). If they were knowns I'd be basics all the way.

Call me crazy  (you wouldn't be the first!) ;) but I don't think there's much, if any, inconsistency between what I've said, what Elder Holland has said, and what you two have said, Tacenda and Canard. I would never suggest that one not study history.  ("To be learned is good if one hearkens to the counsels of God").  I simply think that where one gets one's history (and other information) about the Church of Jesus Christ makes a difference.

I am a supporter of Fair, but a lot of what I didn't know came from their website. ETA: At first I thought Fair was possibly anti, under a guise so to speak, because of how they addressed so many things that didn't make the church look very good, it was no LDS.org. But soon realised that they needed to answer to so many anti-mormon sites. I was even able to discuss many things with Greg Smith and he did a great job and then I found this board! Edited by Tacenda

There's no shortage of things out there that provide context which resources that are, shall we say, "less than sympathetic" to the Church of Jesus Christ or to its mission, conveniently omit.  As National Basketball Association Hall-of-Famer Karl Malone used to say, "Consider the source."  I'd certainly much rather have you around these parts, LDS.org, FAIR-Mormon, and similar sites than elsewhere.  I wish you well in your continuing quest to find the answers you seek. :)

So, slightly necroing my own thread here...and bringing it back on track...

Does anyone know where I can get copies of the other pamphlets? I've been searching but haven't had a ton of luck so far. I'm looking for early editions - like the one I posted - that are from the 1970s and 80s.
