Saints Alive Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 They can if attacked, we do not send them after trouble.if we are just trying to keep them out of trouble how is women in an infantry unit different than women on a dangerous convoy? Statistically the convoy is more likely to take casualties.

Statistically the convoy is more likely to take casualties.In "Basic Training" all are taught how to fight. The they go get training in your field assigned. There are no women in Infantry, unless medics, which you could be based with (no forward units)...we have enough otherwise to show respect for the great gifts that all women bring to this life. Robbing of that innocence will have "US" facing God's judgement. You cannot raise a boy to a man to respect and protect them, and think they can just compatmetalize on the battlefield. What I don't understand is why some are for this idea...too what end?
Petey3 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I'm in the army myself. The thought of women in combat disturbes me only a little more than men. I go out in the morning and often enough the women do just as much as the men on the PT field. That they can handle the task I feel will be up to their individual leader. There have been plenty of guys that I served with that couldn't shoot their way out of a barrell. When it comes to combat it is more aboutyour mindset and what you can mentally handle. That trait is not gender specific. 1
