Stargazer Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Why not?Originally there were only .com, .org, and .net along with the national TLDs like .us, .mx, etc. More TLDs were needed in order to meet the need for web addresses. Just like we've gone past the point where Internet Protocol addresses of 4 groups of hexadecimal numbers is adequate (e.g. 123.43.44.33), more TLDs increases the generall useful of the web. It seems a little odd to have a .mormon, though. I will definitely agree with that. I would have thought it was good to have a TLD .religion, but whatever.

Why? No one knows. Nor does anyone know why he has grown a Santa Clause beard and now wears a yamaka.
