Black Friday

I don't like the big crowds of people. So most of my Christmas shopping occurs well before or after Black Friday. But that's just my personal preference and not something every LDS needs to approve of or follow.

But you should, think of all the Book of Mormons you could have passed around.....

There'd be more shelters because the economy would tank and unemployment would soar even higher than it is already. Not to mention the fact that if a billion dollars showed up at homeless shelters they would now be able to feed the homeless filet mignon, and everyone would show up.

So is it best to simply feed them peanut butter and jelly sandwiches instead?

Our frig broke this weekend, 16 people in the house, the breaker kept popping, and the frig went down.... the repair guy said it would be cheaper to just get a new one than fix it, so we took advantage of the sales - but on Saturday, not Friday, so it wasn't too crazy.

Oh, yes, absolutely.

Go soak your head, you know that's not what I was saying.

[Abstain from insults please - this is where things began to go downhill]

For whatever reason, I couldn't post the link or text from my blog. So, see my blog link in my tagline for my own views on Black Friday.

I found it by chnce last night, as I wondered if you had posted anything on it. Also, fantastic post at Worlds Without End.

Why thank you. I haven't let my filthy libertarianism creep in just yet over there. ;)

The Salami Method of takeovers...

Chris Smith introduced me to the group as a "Texas libertarian" with whom he had had political discussions. I told him he had officially tainted my reputation and was a filthy socialist.

You should have said that only a filthy, bigotted socialist would resort to cheap and unpatriotic tactics such as labelling, and that he proves the old maxim, "better dead than red."

To the tune of Motopsycho Nightmare...

Just interested in hearing what people think about Black Friday. Is it a good thing for a Latter-day Saint to participate in?

Black Friday is an excellent thing for LDS to participate in, because wearing costly apparel isn't prideful if you bought it on sale.

Comparatively, we all are already wearing costly apparel compared to the original authors of the Book of Mormon (both Nephite and 19th-century).
