Threadlocking And Special Treatment

Recommended Posts

It is also quite ironic that just recently a member of this board accused Shades and/or his mods of thread tampering in order to frame and defame said member. Yet we have fresh thread tampering right here. Which mod here helped Pahoran insert the last post into the day old closed thread?

Pahoran was the OPer of that thread, was he not? If so, it is possible he was able to open and close it again on his own.

I just experimented on an old thread of mine that had been locked by mods. I could open and close it at will.

What tools of the forum allows for the locking and unlocking of threads by the OP?

Additionally, I can't see this sort of thread manipulation as anything other than poor form.

When one is a contributor, the option for topic opening and closing (nothing else, you cannot alter someone's quote as I believe the claim of thread tampering on Shades' board was about if you and I are thinking about the same thing) appears down at the bottom of the replies next to the "Back to whatever forum one is in" link.

I think one must have 2000 posts, IIRC to hit contributor status. You have only 886 to go before you can do the same thing.

I think making an accusation of someone (in this case moderators) and then not apologizing for it when it is pointed out to one that one has likely made an error is poor form myself.
