Specific Problems On Fair (And Farms If You Want)

I wouldn't say apologetics had anything to do with destroying my testimony, but they didn't do anything to slow down the train wreck that caused my testimony to be destroyed.

The speed of the faith train, and the direction it is traveling, be it towards wrecking or towards some other desired destination, is in the hands of the person at the controls--i.e. YOU.

So, if your faith was destroyed, and if you are looking for blame, then you need look no further than yourself.

The good news is, if you so desire, with the help of Christ and his the gospel, you can still get yourself back on the right track and begin traveling again spiritually where God wishes for you to go. The choice is still yours.

Thanks, -Wade Englund-

It can be easily argued that FARMS, FAIR, and etc are not formally connected to the LDS church and therefore these types of documents have no effect on the church and were never sanctioned or endorsed by church leadership. If so, why should any LDS member with questions about the church seek out apologistic writings from FAIR, FARMS, and other apologistic websites? If these are not formally connected with the church, shouldn't members just stick to lds.org, Ensign, conference talks, and church sanctioned lesson manuals/CES material?

On the other hand, when I was once upon a time in the leadership structure of the Church, I thought the FAIR site and FARMS invaluable for the two or three times I really needed it for members. I thought I knew the issues and answers on my own, but I didn't and these two locations filled the gaps.

I consider these two sites the highest quality of apologetics on the internet, at least in an organized fashion. I realize that apologetics often and usually tries to make the shoe fit, but at least these two cites cite profusely from original sources so that I can form my conclusions as best as I can when answering members' questions. My deepest gratitude goes to these two sites.

Am I the only one that doesnt really see anything offensive in the first list or a significant change with the second supposedly revised list?

No, you're not the only one. I don't see anything inherently offensive in the first list or materially different in the second one.
