LeSellers Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 You still haven't explained how they have been hoodwinked. They have been told by everyone from television programming to teachers in schools, to their mothers and peers that men are immaterial, that they can raise children on their own, that a check from the state is all they need to be "self-sufficient"; that a "family" is any group of people who live under a single roof, that marriage is slavery for women, that abortion is moral and even a good thing. They "know" that sex is good irrespective of one's marital status, and that children are like jewelry: they are easy to get and easy to cast off, and serve to make others jealous. they have learned that they need men like fish need bicycles, that fathers are, at best, useless (indeed, all men are potential rapists and molesters).Feminism, as we know it today (whatever its original purpose) has so undermined society that there is no society anymore. With all thy getting, get understanding. I propose that women, as a class, may be "better off" than they were when I was a child, but they are no happier; if my observation is even remotely correct, they are much less so.Lehi

It's these women, who you have said previously were hoodwinked by feminism, that i'm not seeing the connection with.
LeSellers Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 But i've already said that the women in question got pregnant desperately wanting a man and male approval. It's these women, who you have said previously were hoodwinked by feminism, that i'm not seeing the connection with. They didn't get married before getting pregnant, did they? They were hoodwinked into believing that love and sex are the same thing. they kept their babies, rather than making a better choice and allowing others who cannot have their own children to raise them in a real family. They somehow believe that unwed single parenthood is somehow admirable, rather than shameful and a drag on societyFeminism created (in conjunction with a myriad of other satanic forces) a culture that denigrates the Family as a foundational entity for culture. It may, but only may, have been benign or even benevolent in its inception, but it rapidly became force for evil, and has remained thus ever since.Lehi
bluebell Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 They didn't get married before getting pregnant, did they? They did. But women did that before feminism, so i'm not sure the corrolation is automatic. They were hoodwinked into believing that love and sex are the same thing.Again, that's been going on since the beginning of time so.....they kept their babies, rather than making a better choice and allowing others who cannot have their own children to raise them in a real family. They somehow believe that unwed single parenthood is somehow admirable, rather than shameful and a drag on society. My experiences are just that, my experiences and don't necessarily mean anything else, but, the girls i know kept their babies because they did not want to give them up. It was a personal choice that was not based on their belief that they would be admired because of it. They didn't care in the least what society thought about it.Feminism created (in conjunction with a myriad of other satanic forces) a culture that denigrates the Family as a foundational entity for culture. It may, but only may, have been benign or even benevolent in its inception, but it rapidly became force for eviul, and has remained thus ever since.Perhaps.
LeSellers Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 They did [not get married before getting pregnant]. But women did that before feminism, so i'm not sure the corrolation is automatic. Not in the numbers we see today. Something like ⅓ of all children today are ba$tards, in some subsets, it's over 60%, well over. When I was younger, a girl's getting pregnant was cause for a wedding or a trip to visit her aunt in Cleveland, not to the welfare office. The VP-elect of my student body didn't show up for school his senior year because he was married. I respect both Claude and Marilyn for their corrective decision, but it was a major shock to not see either of them that September.the girls i know kept their babies because they did not want to give them up. It was a personal choice that was not based on their belief that they would be admired because of it. They didn't care in the least what society thought about it.That's not at all what I have seen. Government-run, tax-funded schools now cater to pregnant students and single mothers, giving them all sorts of concessions. How many times do we hear "I'm a single parent/mother..." with the expectation that we'll immediately accord some sort of sympathy for her poor decision? I'm no fan of Jesse Ventura, but his was the correct response when one such child-woman asked him what he'd do for her in her "plight". He said, "Why should I give you anything? I didn't make your bad choice." By giving tax money to these children, we enable them, and further weaken our country. We undermine ourselves, all in the name of compassion. We're destroying them even faster than we're destroying ourselves. And this is the agenda of feminism: get rid of the men, and substitute a government check.Lehi
katherine the great Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Maybe if men hadn't mistreated women for so many generations, feminism never would have been necessary. There's plenty of blame to go around. All we can do is try to live the gospel, love our spouses and teach our children correctly.

LeSellers Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Maybe if men hadn't mistreated women for so many generations, feminism never would have been necessary. There's plenty of blame to go around.Perhaps, but there are a huge number of men who never mistreated women who are still paying the price for those (mostly now dead) who may have.We should not forget, either, that "mistreatment" is in the eye of the beholder (or whatever), and that every child who runs away from home thinks himself mistreated. We all know that some men have mistreated women, but that does not mean that every claim of mistreatment was, in fact, mistreatment. All we can do is try to live the gospel, love our spouses and teach our children correctly. In the meantime, however, the world, and especially the country, is falling apart, thanks in no small measure to the over compensation for all the mistakes of the past. Who's going to pick up the pieces when society destroys the next generation? Who'll glue them back together, when there is no model or pattern? When well meaning Kenyan wildlife 'experts" culled herds of elephants, taking out all the old bulls, leaving the younger ones as more fit to reproduce. However, the younger males started destroying everything they could get their trunks on: other elephants, other animals, fences, trees, huts, gardens. The old bulls may not have had much to contribute to the gene pool, but they taught the kids how to behave. The cows could not (or did not) do it on their own. What will feminists do when the men are gone?Lehi

Things change; that is the nature of this world. How we adapt to the changes is what determines our success in life. The Lord is still in charge.

The Lord is still in charge. The Lord has told us repeatedly that trials will come and that, in your terms, the glass will be "mosty empty" before He refills it.I get very tired of the glass's being mostly empty. But its condition is not my doing, nor am I being unreasonably pessimistic: it's just Satan has organized things while he has power to do so.Lehi
