mtomm Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Those are stunning. We have had such a beautiful fall I'm glad you were able to capture it! 1
Calm Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Messenger, I am grateful you talked about your volunteering for the Church photographing stuff, otherwise I would have skipped checking out the new Create.lds section of lds.org. They have some beautiful desktop wallpaper as well as a photo gallery. Great idea.http://lds.org/service/volunteer-and-contribute/create/photos/desktop-wallpaper?lang=eng (I think I may use the reflection pond as I like natural shots of a geometric flavour).http://lds.org/service/volunteer-and-contribute/create/photo-gallery?lang=eng 1
Messenger Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 I already have one of the Rexburg temple located on my Flikr page at http://www.flickr.com/photos/nemesis2020/4717127660/sizes/l/in/photostream/

kolipoki09 Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I went out to take some photos of the Idaho Falls temple for the church, and the volunteer uploader on the church website hasnt been configured yet, so enjoy!Considering this year's massive spring runoff, it was nice to see the rocks below the dam again. We were there in June and they were all under water, and the Greenbelt was flooded (though not closed off to the public). I never thought I'd ever see the water so high that it covered the sidewalks on the west side of the river. Good pictures!

I do remember seeing the park flooded. Fortunatly I'm about 8 block east of the river if that were to ever be a problem. Also, this fall lasted about 3 days! I was pretty fortunate to get a fall picture with a clear day. The snow from last week seemed to change everything. I doubt the leaves will be on the trees for very much longer.

One Clear Voice Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I'll have to check that out. Is it north or south of the I.F. Temple?Carpe Diem is correct, it is south of the Temple in a small park like area. Nice Memorial.
Messenger Posted October 17, 2011 Author Posted October 17, 2011 (edited) Thanks. Things are progressing in the volunteering department. I got a bunch of photos approved. They will be doing a spot light on my work. I just filled out the essay questions the head of the department sent me. Im starting to make some connections with some of the other artists in the area that do other works, such as sculpting. This could lead other directions. There are regular 'Photographer Spotlights". I'll be in that section probably next month. The location of this page is here: http://lds.org/servi...tlight?lang=eng Edited October 17, 2011 by Messenger 1
