We have a cite to start from that I know is currently available in the HBLL, I am hoping that it will lead you directly to the older newspaper article that has the full interview in it, so far all the articles online have just one or two sentences...the most controversial ones, of course. If you are available let me know by PMing and I will give you the details, if you are too busy with school and life, don't let me know but feel a moment's twinge of guilt instead. It will likely result in using the microfilm collection of old newspapers or whatever they are on these days. It's likely in the Deseret News, which doesn't have their files digitized that far back (already appealed to Scott Lloyd who actually remembered the article (what a newsman) and controversy around it so it looks like we are on the right track...but I don't know how many articles it will take to get to the original interview so it may not be as easy as it looks, which is find the book, look up the page of the cite, check out footnote with its cite, find newspaper article that was cited, find interview (hopefully) or description of original interview so that we know exactly where to look for it....and hopefully that won't be somewhere like FBI Confidential Reports, one of the Heritage Halls third floor girls bathroom, behind the door of the second stall or even worse the President's Vault. It was probably in the Trib, or perhaps a wire story (AP, UPI).The reason I remember it as clearly as I do is that I was a member of Young Democrats at BYU at the time, and I rather chafed against it.
