La Trobe University research has found that stressed coffee lovers are three times more likely to see or hear imaginary things than everyone else.

Test subjects first listened to Bing Crosby singing White Christmas, and then they listened to three minutes of static and were told to push a button if they ever heard White Christmas playing in the background—which never played. The more coffee, the more button pushes.

The Word of Wissmas.

Are you sure it wasn't when they wanted their coffee and didn't have it?

Cuz I don't need no study to know that would be true...

I always hear music when it gets quiet, I've got tinnitus and my brain translates it into something that makes sense, I'm guessing. Sometimes it's quite good. Never thought of it as "hallucination".

On some days I drink prodigous amounts of Pepsi and Monster.

I've never had auditory, or for that matter, visual or sensory hallucinations.

Which is sad, I'm sure.

I have a little tinnitus, too, but it comes across as white noise. My brain is apparently not very imaginative.
