First Time in the Temple!

Hey everyone, just wanted to say that I got to attend the Manhattan New York Temple last night with some members of my ward for our Ward Temple Night. I briefly wrote about my experience in my blog. I can't wait to go again! Apparently my ward alternates between doing baptisms/confirmations and endowments each month, so I have to wait until June to go again with the ward, but they said that if I ever feel like going again, I can just call the temple and see if another group is going and I can join them. Can't wait until next year to be endowed! Now I guess I should contact the stake patriarch about my patriarchal blessing (I received the recommend for that as well).

That's wonderful, Christknight!

I've been to the Manhattan temple - such an interesting experience to walk into the lobby from the bustling streets of New York.

If you get a chance, check out the Boston temple which I think is probably the next closest to you.

Heading over to read your blog post now....

Excited for you!

Hello ChrisKnight...

I, too, am so happy for you. This is just the beginning, but a very important service. Do you have any personal family for whom you can do their work? It becomes even more meaningful when it is your own ancestors. Glad you enjoyed it... the Spirit really is special in the temple, isn't it?

Yes, this is something I'm thinking of doing (I mentioned it to some people yesterday). Guess I just need to figure out how...I think the Manhattan temple building also has a family history center, so maybe I'll go there?

And YES, the Spirit really is special in the temple. As soon as I walked in I could feel the Spirit, and doing the ordinances added to that. Can't wait to go back!

Your ward or stake should have a family history coordinator. If you could find out who it was, i'm sure they would do whatever they could to help you.

Congratulations ChristKnight, I'm so glad you enjoyed the temple... it is a wonderful place which I wish I went to way more often. I am glad you are so happy, that I am!

Best Wishes,

TAO
