I agree that lostindc's post is like mine in that no one will read his either. But I fear that I still win the booby prize for much the most wasted time because I actually wrote and re-wrote mine, whereas it appears his is copied.

But its only the symbolism that counts so even though in Mormon churches it is now just water out of tiny paper cups, it is still OK (one would think). Baptism is only a symbolism also. I can't see what the difference between complete immersion and incomplete immersion would be as long as the symbolism means the same thing (and why shouldn't it?). Sprinkling can stand for spiritual rebirth (or whatever) just fine. Of course, one could claim that it is more than symbolism and that if one isn't totally immersed then something actual and physical fails to happen. This kind of thinking seems a bit literal minded and hypostatizing for most people I imagine.
