Yes, and put DVD's on doors and then run away before being "engaged" while simultaneously posting "accurate Mormon doctrines" on a wiki... you really should see him go it tis a sight to behold. There is a lot of training one must go through to become a Street Screacher! I wouldn't have the stamina for it though.

One of the many concerns I have concerning Aarron's approaches is that it seems these people spend all their time targeting Mormonism. It is like some unhealthy, angry obsession. The irony is that Mormons, despite having what you call some "heretical doctrines," study the Bible, believe and accept the atonement of Jesus Christ and strive to keep his commandments. I think Mormons generally are bombarded with the same criticisms you keep throwing at them throughout their entire life, especially if they served a mission.

So my advice to you, Aarron, is move on to someone else. We hear you and we get it. You stated your case and want us to believe what you believe and you will yell and scream until we do. I think you have fulfilled you mission to the Mormons. How about a missionary trip to areas heavily populated by buddhists. They don't even believe in Jesus Christ. I know Iraq could use some Christian preaching right about now.

Even the Catholics believe that some "works" are required for salvation which definitely contradicts your interpretation of the Paul scripture you quote, so how about camping out in front of the Vatican next weekend?

You see there are millions of different religions with a multitude of different beliefs, even amongst your own sect. So why only Mormons? Why not spread the love?

I think we both know the answer to that question.

Sometimes it helps me gain perspective if I take what is said or done against Mormons and imagine the same thing being done against Jews.

For example, some time ago when the Olympics were in SLC, an article appeared in TIME magazine which stated, "In Salt Lake City, business is either done the Mormon way or not at all."

On the face of it, it seemed simply an absurd statement, though many surely believed it because it was printed in that paragon of political truth.

But then I turned it around with a non-LDS friend of mine, and asked him, "What would you think if the article stated instead:

'In New York City, business is either done the Jewish way or not at all.'"

Suddenly the blinders came off and it was apparent what a religiously bigoted statement it was.

Similarly, if a group of Jews were gathering at a large synagogue in New York City to observe a festival or other important Jewish religious occasion, and there were "street preachers" out front declaring that they were going to hell for rejecting Jesus, wouldn't everybody be able to see how patently bigoted such activities are? And would those "street preachers" not be universally denounced for the religious bigots they are?

And if it is true in a Jewish context, why is it not true in a Mormon context?
