  1. You got me here. I'd pay to watch this.
  2. When Godhood me creates future worlds, holes will occasionally open up and swallow all the awful people. I'd call it the Crapture. It'd be super popular with my adherents.
  3. I will assume the reps are not unfathomably ignorant. Assuming that, they know that there is no excess capacity at the institutions they are hand-waving at. They know these facilities tend to be overcrowded to the point of being fatally dangerous, to patient and worker alike. While I understand that mass interring a systemically demonized group into America's worst conditions is appealing to these reps, they know it's numerically impossible. However, prisons aren't impossible. We send 670k actual MI patients there every year. In short, these reps know this bill will mass-render trans Americans into prisons. And in keeping with the spirit of the bill, I expect it would be the most dangerous prisons America has. Again, not the life-ruining hellholes they'd like but pretty close.
  4. We have a name for the attacker, Thomas Jacob Sanford. Early details include that he was a Marine who served in Iraq and a bit of family info. Few personal details are known. The make, model of his truck is confirmed; they match the truck pic. IED were found in the truck but now I'm reading that may mean incendiary and not explosive. Setting the fire was intentional but we're not told the method. He was killed by a local leo and a state natural resources officer. [deleted info that was uninformative bait at this time]
  5. I want Pres Oaks called this week because I want to hear what a prophet has to say next week. I'm in no hurry for Pres Oaks to be called because the mantle changes leaders and that's who I want to hear from. And IDK how much transformation we're going to get in a week. And maybe Pres Nelson recorded something. His eyesight had failed which makes live speaking tough at 101. Are there customs for prerecorded conference talks? IDK.
  6. Politicians and other people of influence are posting. Many are just expressing shock and support within what is expected. The rest are quickly trying to leverage shock and grief into animosity toward their targets of choice. I suppose that will feel like support in some quarters. With some preemptive gratitude, I expect the Church will counsel us to avoid being manipulated that we should resist feelings and responses that favor the adversary that instead we should seek out Christ's actual examples and do our best to let them guide our reactions. I don't have those quotes yet but I have faith I will.
  7. After reading responses by the police chief and others, this event seems to be about as awful and as it can be. Perp is 40yo man from Burton MI. My take is he acted with planned and deliberate cruelty.
  8. One of the original reasons for secrecy is that members are given key words, signs and tokens, to provide to the angels who stand as sentinels. My conjecture for the tokens, etc is this. While the restoration was being deployed on the Earth, a complementary security system was being deployed (wherever it is that sentinel angels do their thing). Since an accurate reading of human hearts is notoriously difficult, the keywords, signs and tokens were a stopgap measure. It was put in place to give the sentinel angels time to be properly trained in discerning who was who. This strikes me as a mid-level manager solution but Joseph seemed to have connections all up and down the heavenly sphere. If my theory holds, the security tokens should be done away with at at future date. In the mean time, the c-suites are maintaining them for stability's sake.
  9. Regarding the relationship between God and his children, the most telling example I know was provided to me by sister Eliza G. She and her husband Steve had a profoundly developmentally disabled daughter. Katy was extremely difficult; she was often destructive and lashed out regularly. After months of ceaseless exhaustion, Eliza had a night out while Steve watched Katy. He settled Katy down for the night so he can study & prep. Shortly thereafter, there's a pungent odor. Katy has painted her room in feces, corner to corner. Steve gets Katy cleaned up. He gets her room cleaned up. He gets her down and goes back to study. After a bit, it's the same odor, the same cause and the same cleanup. This repeats twice more. Eliza gets home well after midnight and Steve is practically numb. And while this night was tougher than most, it wasn't an outlier. Steve and Eliza had been trying for years to get Katy placed in a group home but they didn't have the resources to pay for it out of pocket. The state had some assistance available (back then) but there was a lot of need and the waiting lists were long. That night, Eliza led their prayer and she'd had enough. She was a good wife and good mother and good daughter of God. She made it clear to the Lord that she and Steve had fulfilled their roles and that now was the time for the Lord to step in. He needed to help Now. She delivered this to the Lord as an unwavering statement of fact. [me: I believe Eliza was exercising authority as a wife and mother and that her certain clarity came from that. That's my personal take.] Regardless and with zero advance warning, social services showed up at their home at 8am the next morning. They vetted the family and found placement for Katy soon afterward. So there's that. Late in life I noticed some things. There's what God responds to. There's my obedience to teachings. I found they aren't overlapping like I thought they would.
