Recovery of an old thread...

I have an old thread on my hard-drive that I am unable to locate here at MDDB, or on the internet as a whole. The thread was first published on the old FAIR MB (1st post 03-06-2006), then it was transferred to the MADB MB. The following are the original links:

http://www.fairboards.org/index.php?showtopic=13798

http://www.mormonapologetics.org/index.php?showtopic=13798

The title of the thread was: THE LDS QUAD METAPHYSICS AND THE EARLY CREEDS

Hoping that someone with better internet skills than I have can find/recover the thread.

Grace and peace,

David

Unfortunately iirc the moderators had to delete some threads early on.  They did try to just delete the chatty or repetitive ones, so I would expect yours to have been saved, but I can’t remember if the process was picking ones to be saved or picking ones to be deleted. My guess is it was the first. They had several posters help decide and it is unfortunately possible yours was missed to be saved as I remember there being a rush on it.  I have noticed ones I am certain would have been saved if the circumstances had been ideal that do not come up in a Google search.

With the dates available, I am going to try a sight search in the “Library” where the older threads were stored just in case Google isn’t as effective as it is supposed to be, but I am not that hopeful.

Do you know when the last post was made, as that is how they are ordered?  If not, do you remember if was it ongoing for a short or long time period….though it’s always possible someone made a random remark years later.

Do you know who started the thread?  Just in case the name was changed?

I went through all the Library sections except Misc which is 166 pages, though I also went through the earliest pages there where the thread most likely would be unless there was a much later post on it.  No luck

I also tested Google with a thread from 2007 in the Misc section (Mail Delivery in the 19th Century”) and it didn’t pull it up, so if the thread did have a much later post that categorized it at a later date, it might still be there.  I will do some more sight searching later….

I am going to try and see if it is in your profile content first though as the Mail Delivery thread did come up in the originator’s content.

Weirdly, your profile takes your topics back to 2005, but only has your post activity going back to 2011 (that was probably the date when threads were last purged).

So if you know who started the thread, if it is still on the board, that would likely find it if still here.

I started the thread, and the last post I have on my hard-drive was 03-13-2006.

Thanks much for your efforts; I figured it was a long-shot...

If it was saved, it should have been in your profile.  Unfortunately most threads saved were closer to 2011.

Paul !!! Wow, what a pleasant surprise, so good to hear from you.

I am well, how are you doing? Are you still a missionary?

Have you been able to check out my blog yet?

God bless,

David
