We were sailing around Los Angeles area between Catalina Island and San Pedro. We always have our VHF radio tuned to ch 16. It's the Hailing and emergency Channel. Anyway this guy calls the Coast Guard and tell them that their boat is on fire and they need help. The Coast Guard asked them if they know their location. That guy tells the Coast Guard we are under the big fluffy cloud right about .....now. 2
strappinglad Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Reminds me of the cartoon where a drunk fellow goes to a phone booth to call his wife to come get him. When asked where he is, he steps out of the booth and looks up and says, " I am at the corner of Telephone and Telephone " . 😁 1
