Alternate Assumptions on Lands of Nephi and Zarahemla

There is a possibility that the  Land of Nephi began at the Southern border of Panama and extended North to the Estuary indicated by the lower arrow, at which point it borders the Land of Zarahemla, which ends at the Panama Canal, indicated by the upper arrow. The River Sidon which flow across the Land of Nephi would be that which empties in the Estuary shown. Geographic clarity in the Book of Mormon is sometimes difficult to determine.
