"Sunday School" doesn't belong to the church. Now, if it was organized by church leaders, or if the leaflet said it was a meeting of the church that would be a different thing. But if I, Happy Jack Wagon organize a get together at the park to read and study scriptures with friends, my priesthood leader has ZERO right to tell me to stop. He doesn't have authority to control my interactions with others. If my leader learned I was doing this and was concerned, it would make sense for him to reach out and tell me he didn't think it was a good idea. But if he tries to stop the gathering by forbidding me to hold it, or by calling other participants and actively campaigning for them not to participate, I believe that leader would have crossed a line of unrighteous dominion. They have every right to ask you to stop or to ask others to stop attending. They also have the right to use the Church Membership council system to withdraw membership if they feel it necessary. You can, of course, continue to do it anyways. 1
