I've heard some suggest it is Linotype Monticello but I don't think that's correct. Unfortunately the LDS Gospel Library doesn't give a choice of what font the scriptures are in. That's particularly glaring in that one can now easily add fonts. I'm a big Garamond fan myself. Even if the Church never changes translations (although as I've long argued the NKJV is a great middle ground that improves the biggest problems with hte KJV) I do hope that they move away from verse formatting and have an option to do the poetry structurally presented. It used to be a proprietary typeface that, if I recall, was closely related to Palatino. The 2013 edition may have switched to a different typeface, though. 1

I was interested to see that there are some differences in how the regular sized quad is formatted in the Spanish edition and the English edition. The Spanish edition has a different typeface, and it's a bit larger. The dimensions of the book are different: the Spanish is a bit longer page length (from top to bottom). And the formatting of apparatus in the back, such as Bible Dictionary and Topical Guide, is less extensive. I look forward to brushing up on my Spanish a bit, and digging into this edition a bit more deeply... 2

I find it kind of annoying, but they don't care what I think. 1
