Bill “Papa” Lee Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 One of the great things about our Faith, is our ability to be on the ground quickly, to aid those caught up in disasters. Our Bishop's Storehouse here in Atlanta, had trucks ready days ago, some already pre-positioned. This time, it hit very close to home, in more ways than one. One of my friends from High School, had a business, "Killer Seafood" on Mexico Beach, their home 100 yards behind the beach. They chose to ride it out, finally got word last night, they are alive, but everything a total loss. The friends who introduced, and baptized my wife an I, we cannot get any word, we know there are dead already, and probably more to come, we just pray it is not them, or other of our friends. My sister's home was spared serious damage, but still sustained some. Even here in Atlanta and South, heavy flooding, downed trees, damaged homes all points South, and South Alabama. Be in prayer. 2
RevTestament Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 To lose not only your home but your livelihood is quite the double whammy. I do hope they had insurance that will help. We will put them in our prayers Bill. My inlaws in the Tallahassee area have had to deal with complete loss of power for awhile, but are all OK, with no loss of property. The beach is no place to stay when a Cat 4 is headed straight for you. I'm glad they are alive, but I bet they won't ever try to sit out another large hurricane.
