The March Continues: Up Next- Plural Marriage

I guess I can call it unfair, just like you can call it fair because the women choose this life and aren't held hostage. I wouldn't advise my neices or daughter, if I had one, though, to live this lifestyle as no. 2 of 3 or 3 of 3, etc. However, maybe she could live as no 1 of 3 or maybe there aren't favorites? That might change things?

I've just seen too many cheating spouses to doubt that there isn't jealousy or problems in these relationships. However, maybe I'm wrong? Maybe it is healthy having the women share while the man gets a variety? More power to him. He certainly has the resources to ease whatever downside these women may face, hypothetically that is.

The birth rate ratio of human males to female is near 1:1, which clearly suggests that ratio is normally expected to be maintained in pair-bonding, at least here in mortality.  I am sure that in the mortal condition it is far more comfortable for a woman to not have to share a man with others.  But some women are not so averse to it -- given that they might expect to not be discarded in favor of another.  And there are some women who appear to be happy to share a man with other women -- not many, but they do exist.

My late wife said that while she would prefer not to share me with another woman, if the Lord called upon the Saints to again practice plural marriage, and we were called to participate, she'd be OK with it -- as long as she got to pick my new wives!
