Religious freedom threatened

During WWII FDR rounded up over a hundred thousand of Japanese Americans (citizens) and put them in camps. So this questioning of certain ethnic groups is nothing new.  Trump wanting to question a group of people (who are not US citizens) coming into the country and put them on a list in the name of national security is fine with me and hardly a threat to Americans' 1st amendment rights.

And the Americans also massacred many of the natives when they got here and imported people to be used as slaves. That a thing is worse then another thing does not mean the second thing isn't bad.

Refugees already undergo extensive screenings that are already IMO way too complicated involving way too many federal agencies and requiring extensive approvals. The idea that we need more is xenophobic drum beating.

Here is a summary of the process that many characterize as an open door:

On a personal note when did Americans become such cowards? For fear of a few terrorists we will refuse to help our brothers and sisters fleeing from war with nothing but what they can carry and our first worry is that they are going to hurt us? What the hell is wrong with us?

With the rare exception of recognized diplomats, if you are here you are covered by the US Constitution..

I have to give the leaders of the church credit. Although I think their idea of religious freedom sometimes blurs the line between freedom and privilege, they have been out front on this issue, and I never thought it would be a reality. This is a potentially legitimate threat to religious freedom in the US. Hopefully the courts will have the good sense to strike any of these kinds of laws down as unconstitutional.

As usual, the Left is missing the point and the context of what Trump has said; probably on purpose to hide the truth from it's constituency.  The doctrines of Islam (Jihad, Sharia Law, Jizya, Taqiyya, Kitman) are contrary to the very fabric of the principles this nation was founded on, and it's Constitution, and any sizable group of people who act on those doctrines are a real threat to the democracy you all have come to know and love.

The REAL danger to religious freedom in the USA right now has been (until, hopefully, the election of Trump) the Leftist doctrine of "freedom of worship".  Many Muslim countries have freedom of worship.  The Soviet Union had freedom of worship.  Europe is well on the way to having freedom of worship.  The homosexual agenda in this country has been pushing hard for the freedom of worship despite their gay marriage fight promises it wouldn't happen.

So what is "freedom of worship"?  It's a carefully worded title promulgated by the Left to lull you into erroneously thinking it has nothing to do with limiting free religious expression to the privacy of your own home and some type of punishment for airing those views in public, even in a church.

Yes, on one hand I am told the Left is looking to shut religion out of public life entirely and on the other hand I am told if we let the Muslims in we will be living under public Sharia law within the decade. Either the left's policy is completely schizophrenic or your propaganda is. Care to guess which one I think it is?
