My question for this topic is: Doesn't the Mormon dogma of God becoming God contradict the scripture where God says in the Old Testament (NKJV/KJV): "I am God, before me there were no gods formed and there will be none after me" ? Thank you.

Thank you. Well, IMO there is a conradiction..but in mormonism..there is a God for each planet..That is the only way I can get around it. I am not a scholar though. Good luck with this.

I am not a scholar though. Good luck with this. This isn't a mormon teaching, just an FYI. Mormon doctrine is that God is a God of worlds without number, for example. 2

I have never heard anything like this...I have been taught in lesson in Mormon Doctrine, where Bruce R McConkie (who would hold nothing back) that Jesus Christ is the Saviour for all, all that existed, all that will and all on any planet ever. Also it is the Bible that teaches that "Christ" (God to the poster) "became the author of eternal salvation" that "Christ thought it not robery to be equal with God", that "he learned obiedence through suffering". I believe that when we speak of becoming God, it speaks of Jesus Christ". When we speak of becoming "gods" (little "g") we are becoming like Christ, for "when we see him we shall know him for we shall be like him". This is all Bible and all "Christian orthodoxy". C.S. Lewis the foremost Christiian apologist, teaches this and more about becoming as Christ and becoming "gods and goddesses", and no ne blinks an eye. Except critics who take what we teach and couch it is the most unpleasant and vulgar terms. Forgive any minor misquotes from the Bible, working from memory.
