I agree. He also seemed to be willing to grant divorces to plural wives who were unhappy even if they weren't married to another man. I believe Brigham Young even charged for marriages and also charged for divorces (IIRC). I agree that divorce from a plural wife seemed to be different from divorce from a legal wife and we need to look at the details surrounding each divorce before we conclude anything. Meantime, since I already had my own copy, I can say that the Tanners published the entire Ehat transcription of the manuscript without alteration. I agree. As I stated above, the copy I have (published by the Tanners) were photocopies of Ehat's work (the Tanners blocked out any notes that Ehat had written or made in the margins). .
