Stargazer Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 I just got to post a World of Tanks engagement from 4 years ago that I recorded. I get killed at the end, but do some good damage in between: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ayrazRlEVk 1
Mystery Meat Posted December 22, 2015 Author Posted December 22, 2015 If anybody plays Destiny on PS4, send me a message and we can exchange PS IDs. I am looking for folks to play with.
salgare Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 eve is my game of choice ... took a break recently and working on Fallout New Vegas ... got a shelf full of ps3 twitch shooters
salgare Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 no edit? How is everyone liking Fallout 4? I've never played any in the series and figured I'd start with a cheaper previous version. I've found FNV to be very enjoyable and have about 300 hrs into it with 1.5 dlc's still to go. Got a bit carried away with some mod'ing for awhile ... pretty cool
salgare Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 finished up Old World Blues DLC of FNV tonight ... it was a good dlc 1

I will let you know what I think.

It is a very complex game and takes a few months to even get started. I've been playing for about 3 years or so but have purchased the toon in my avatar which is over 7 years old. I have 3 main toons I typically fly simultaneously. A strong scout, a strong combat and Salgare who is strong at everything including industry. I live in a class-5 wormhole. The game has evolved a lot in the 3 threes I've been playing ... with a lot of focus on new player help. If you ever want to try again having someone help you out is very valuable. Holler and I'd be glad to show you the ropes. Work got real intense, so I have not been on here this week, will be this way a couple more weeks. Edited January 17, 2016 by salgare

Also the old PS2 version was more fun, with another player. Other than that I play candy crush and sudoku. My daughter is recommending Mass Effect for me to try. Thinking about it. It would be my first steam purchase. Haha. Back in the day I played Quake and Tomb Raider, on a PC of course.

I would take you up on your offer to show me the ropes, and I thank you for it, but my other time sinks (World of Warships/Tanks) are quite adequate in keeping me from more important tasks! I have been pretty messed up by an upper respiratory infection for the past 2 weeks, so I've spent a lot of time in a tank or destroyer, let me tell you. 1

I have a PS3 and a shelf full of mostly first person shooters for it. Every once in a great while I have fun going back to some of them. They are made with the intention of topping out so as to promote the next in the series to come out. Even after 7 years, plus the one I put on salgare he is still far from topped out. The game has several levels of complexity for every aspect. People burn out after several years, tend to take a break and come back to it. I just finished one of those breaks and did a thorough run though of Fallout New Vegas including all four dlc's. That is an incurable game. But like most other get a 100hrs into it and you get bored/had enough for awhile. Eve just does not do that. So if you get bored, and have lots of time (horribly addicting once you get skilled up a bit), give me a holler. Offer is always open. Hope you get feeling better! Edited January 17, 2016 by salgare

But warning it has nudity and a sex scene as you try to develop a romance with one of the characters of your choice. 1
etz Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Quake... for about 2 minutes. GOG.com was having a sale, and I thought it might be a good buy for the nostalgia kick. It isn't. In fact, as a game, it's desperately boring. Kind of like contention... no, exactly like contention. But, then, ID games were always more like tech demos than actual games - from Wolfenstein on upwards. Like "Another World," one is better served just watching a speedrun of Quake on youtube (look up "quake done quickest and prettiest") than actually playing the game.

Funny how things come full circle. I play some of these games on my kids X-Box, but I remember when the first PC version of Doom came out when I was in college and my friends and I spent hours on that game. 1
