They were at their very height of power when homosexuality was a part of their culture. One would have an easier time blaming the adoption of Christianity as their downfall.Or as Brigham Young taught, monogamy was the root of their downfall 2

The meeting with our bishop went extraordinarily well in my estimation. at the end I welcomed the notion that the Bishop meet separately with my son to discuss it more, even though our bishop thinks quite differently on the matter from what we do (in that he is opposed to SSM while we support it, for starters). This is awesome and I think it has encouraged the bishop to accept different ideas amongst our members and youth--not that he was opposed to it. 2
