A Question About Divorce.

Someone told me recently that if a Temple Recommend holder files for divorce, regardless of the reason, that individual loses their recommend for a year. I thought that sounded fishy, since the church acknowledges that there are legitimate reasons to file for divorce. Anyone have any info?

Hokum.  No such policy/rule exists.

Not true. You can lose your recommend for any number of reasons but just getting divorced isn't one of them.

LOL.  At the bottom of each page (above the "reply to this topic" box) there is a link that says:  "Topic Moderation".  It's only there for threads that you have started.  Click on that and it will give you the option to lock.

You don't lose your recomend because of the divorce but if the reason for the divorce is adultery, drug abuse, family abuse, ect... Then those are the reasons for the loss of a recomend.
