However, Rabbi Sacks did miss the boat on a couple of items: It is not true that other mammals do not form the pair bond. Wolves for example form a pair bond for life. He said it was rare, not non-existent. Many species of birds, eagles in particular, are monogamous and mate for life. Edited November 24, 2014 by Scott Lloyd 1
