There are many OT passages that speak of God's love and provision for all creation and his intention to bless more than the Jews. Ps 145:9. 15, 16, Isaiah 42:1, 6 and 49:6, for starters. The OT is a giant xenophobic genocidal rant That is simply not true. Yes, there is genocide, which God commanded because it was the only way to stop the false religions that prompted child sacrifice, as the quote from Psalm 106 demonstrates. That does not make it xenophobic; I've now given several passages that say otherwise. Please provide the Bible references to back up your claim that the OT or God are xenophobic. IMO the OT is full of God's love, just as the NT is. The Psalms and Isaiah contain many passages speaking of God's love for people, and there are plenty of other references as well. broken up periodically by fornication, rape, incest and adultery! In other words, by the recorded history of sinful people, whose sins God explicitly disapproved of. Our present society has plenty of the same sins. Is it scripture, sure. Just because it is scripture does not mean it can not also be xenophobic etc. What's your definition of "scripture"?

I think that once someone knows God and knows that he is good, this is the right attitude to take: a dedication to love God as he is. 2
