So are the Anglo/Saxon people Gentiles (with maybe some literal descendents of Israel hidden among them), or Literal descendents of Israel (with maybe some Gentile blood mixed in)?

The Angles & Saxons are Germanic peoples who entered England during the first millennium A.D. and displaced some of the Gaelic peoples there present. I know of no evidence to indicate that they (the Angles & Saxons) were of Israel. Vikings and Normans also invaded England, but there is no reason to see them as anything other than gentiles. That there might have been some literal descendants of Israel hidden among them, I can't say, although it is possible.

In other words, when latter day scripture speaks of the Anglo/Saxons who brought the Bible (the book of the Jew) across the great waters as "Gentiles," is it speaking figuratively?

Are they Israelites being figuratively "identified with the Gentiles" (and could that be hinted at in the wording of D&C 109:60)?

Or is latter day scripture being literal when it speaks of them (identifies them?) as Gentiles, and are they only "numbered among the house of Israel" (and does that expression, used in 1 Nephi 14:2 imply that they're not literally of the house of Israel)?

And when D&C 90:10 says "the arm of the Lord shall be revealed in power in convincing the nations, the heathen nations, the house of Joseph, of the gospel of their salvation," is it saying that nations composing "the house of Joseph" (literal descendents of Israel) are (or were, in Joseph's day) in some sense "heathen"?

Where does it reference Anglo-Saxons in Scripture?

Actually, what we may have in Deut 33:17 is part of the Zodiac:

majestic bull/wild ox = Taurus the Bull = Sumerian GUD/GU₄.AN.NA, the Bull of Heaven

Ephraim & Manasseh = Gemini, the Twins = Sumerian MAŠ.TAB.BA.GAL, the Great Twins

something similar takes place in Gen 49:24

As much as I respect Brigham Young and think he is way over criticized because of misunderstandings of what he said I am skeptical on this one. I would have to see the quotation in context. Brigham did miss a few.

"The Book of Mormon came to Ephraim, for Joseph Smith was a pure Ephraimite, and the Book of Mormon was revealed to him, and while he lived he made it his business to search for thosewho believed the Gospel.

Again, if a pure Gentile firmly believes the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and yields obedience to it, in such a case I will give you the words of the Prophet Joseph "When The Lord pours out the Holy Ghost upon that individual he will have spasms, and you would think that he was going into fits"

Joseph said that the Gentile blood was actually cleansed out of their veins, and the blood of Jacob made to circulate in them; and the revolution and change in the system were so great that it caused the beholder to think they were going into fits." 2 JD 269 . Brigham Young, April 8 , 1855, SLC. I think he was pretty clear on the subject and said he was quoting the Prophet Joseph.

Perhaps this also relates to Minoan culture and the Horns of Consecration. That is truly ancient stuff- back to 2700 BCE
