Requirements Or Melchisedek Priesthood Ordination

I have been thinking about those requirements a bit lately with all of the topics about ordination of women to the priesthood have appeared on thei forum and on LDS related blogs on the internet. I do not really remember all of the specific questions that are asked of a propective Elder during a worthiness interview. I would assume that questions about sexual purity, tithing, belief in Jesus Christ, belief in the restoration of the Gospel, and sustaining of the current prophet and church leaders would be included. I have not been able to find a definitive list anywhere, so maybe some of the brethren who have experience in those interviews might add or otherwise correct my list.

One of the things that has struck me about so many of the proponents of ordination of women around about the internet, is their lack of support for church leaders, both for the prophets and apostles, and the local leaders. I have read so many public comments critical of bishops, primary leaders, and Relief Society leaders.

I want to develop my thoughts on this a little further, but I believe that there are some things that some of the people pushing the idea of women ordination are missing in those regards. I would welcome any other thoughts on this. I wish to kep the conversation on the issues without it getting personal with anyone.

If my memory serves me correctly, they ask all the questions asked during the temple recommend interview (with to obvious exception of asking about garment wear) and ask about your understanding of the Oath and Covenant of the Priesthood.

There are no specific questions that are to be asked during an advancement interview. The main goal would be to determine the worthiness of the individual and their understanding of the priesthood. Each stake president probably handles this a little differently, and the interview questions probably change depending on the understanding and needs of the candidate.
