I don't think the property issue would be that big.

I don't think the property issue would be that big.What if the councils split up?The news reported a new organization called "Navigators" starting up in SLC and apparently in some other cities so even among a community like Utah, there is disagreement in how the Scout program should be run. I would think that areas which are much more spread out and containing a variety of communities, urban to rural, there would tend to be more varied approaches as well. gkearney Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 The logistics of a world jamboree mean that Philmont could not be used. It requires a site able to support a small city of 40,000+ for two weeks including such things as food and a onsite hospital sanitation and so on. It has to be with in a bus ride of a gateway international airport. Such requirement means that Philmont really is not a viable location.
