Talk About Temple Standards And Perfection

I found this talk by elder whiting to be very enjoyable but I worry that some people will get the wrong message and feel that they need to be perfect and can never live up to God's demands. Did anybody else have similar concerns about this talk?

Neither did I but I worried that others would take it the wrong way by taking the whole temple construction analogy too far.

I love the analogy and the actual story itself. If you set out to do something, do your best. We live in a world that is slowly being overcome by the mentality of no one else cares, why should I? Even- Why should I have to work hard, let someone else do it. Or- What difference is it going to make? Thats the mentality of losers, laziness, slothfulness. If each one of us put forth more care in everyday tasks and did it with a thankful heart we would find ourselves moving closer to godliness.

I learned along time ago to not worry about what others think.
