I just don't think we can prove that polygamy in and of itself, is inherently evil or predisposed to sexism. CORRELATION DOES NOT PROVE CAUSATION.!!! 1

I was in Canada when Blackmore and Jeffs were brought into the forefront of media attention about polygamy. After watching this video I feel even more disgusted at how such abuse is sustained, permitted and even praised.

You may have experience with polygamy that shows the opposite to what the video proclaimed. Perhaps you could share examples of where polygamy is not evil and not sexist.

I believe as Saints Alive noted it can be lived like Cody Brown does but something needs to be said about and done for, these people in the video. I hesitated to post it because it may seem like it's anti but really I know of LDS that are now aware of these people and there plight after this long and want to do something to help. This year there was a 5k run in Draper, Ut. to help families that want to escape that life.
wenglund Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Remember that there would be a significant difference between legal polygamy and illegal such is practiced now in the US as well as polygyny that is practiced in a society that has multiple independent options for women instead of really only two, marriage or living with parents.I would go even one step further and distinguish between Celestial polygamy and romantic polygamy, just as I would the same with monogamous marriages. Ultimately, to my mind, the former isn't centered on what each spouse can do or bring to each other, but rather about what more they twain (multiply) can bring to and do for others, particularly their children. I don't know that Celestial relationships will be all that much like romantic relationships we see these days in the movies. But, what do I as a chronic bachelor know. Thanks, -Wade Englund-

Brun, Braun, Bruin, Bruna, Brunn, Brunneis, it's all the same. Of TLC's "sister wives" fame. It a show that follows the life of a real polygamist family in Utah and later Nevada. I believe the wives have been on several talk shows.
