In my case, considering my current unemployment and looming mountain of student loans, it's probably for the best not to be engaging in any shaky dealings. mapman Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 My guess on what "cosmological assets" is referring to is that God has always been and always will be the head God, as opposed to there being an infinite regress of Gods and that exalted beings will be in an equal position with God the Father. That is what I believe, at least right now, but I don't think the church has an official doctrine on this matter. Makes you wonder who wrote this.

I'm starting to become a real believer in the mormon moment's abiltiy to get clarification from church headquarters on issues that for so long have been dark. I'm half tempted to vote for Mitt just to help it keep going. On the substance, though, this is a very important news release. First, the piece clarifies that caffeine is not prohibited by the WOW. Second, unlike previous statements, this one "forcefully" rejects ALL prior answers provided by the church for the racial priesthood ban. In the past the newsroom had only said that "some" prior statements were wrong - leaving open the question whether any were correct. I now feel 100% confident that doctrines such as curse of cain and premortal valiancy are dead, dead, dead. 1

And inasmuch as Bot restated the pet theories of individuals past, the Church renounced those pet theories.However, there is no indication that the LDS Church has renounced The First Presidency Letters on the matter of Blacks and the Priesthood. I don't know of a precedent in which a mere press release has nullified a signed proclamation of the First Presidency.
