Is a record kept if you are disfellowshipped?ummm...maybe via computer only stake or higher can access...

What sort of records are kept by the church?

It is kept by the ward on your and if you move there is a check box which says "Contact Former Bishop". The new bishop contacts former bishop and what they talk about is confidential. When one has fulfilled the terms of their disfellowshipment the check mark is removed and no further record of it exists.

Your membership record is accessible by the bishopric and ward clerk only and is not visible to any other users.

The tattoo on your left forearm, however, is indelible and exposed by any good blacklight source.

here's my question what about people who have had shady dealings with Kids? They can be forgiven by the Church and God but is there a notation not to put them back in a primary or youth setting again?

Yep same one except it stays on and never goes away. It then becomes a bishop to bishop confidential communication each time they move. Keeps one from moving and moving to loose their problem and then become a danger to kids again..

A sex offender has a notation on his record that goes with him wherever he goes. If he is in full fellowship, he is not to have a calling relating to children or youth. The notation can be removed only by the First Presidency, otherwise, it will stay there forever. This record is only accessible to the bishopric.
