brightpath Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 The 3 signs of true Israel are 1) They have/had their own prophets. 2) They had a visit by Jesus Christ 3) They have their own scriptures. What 3 groups fit this?

brightpath Posted July 11, 2012 Author Posted July 11, 2012 Jesus Christ did! Jesus visited only 3 groups of people. 1st group Lehi's seed, the Lamanites(Tribe of Joseph). 2nd group The Jews (tribe of Judah). 3rd group is the lost 10 tribes. After Christ visited Lehi's seed in America he told them he will go and visit them. Those are the 3 groups he visited and the scriptures they have are the Book of Mormon(Joseph), the Bible(Judah), and the lost 10 tribes have their own records they are keeping. When Israel reunites when the times of the Gentiles closes they will have each others records to share.
theplains Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 In my opinion, there are two aspects of Israel. One of lineage and one of being born into it in a spiritual way [Romans 9:6,8]."This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring".Do Latter-day Saints consider the lost 10 tribes as one group or 10 individual groups? Were they all dispersed to the same placeand remained there or did they also migrate across the entire world? Thanks,Jim
