A stronger influence from Aramaic, a dominant language of the surrounding culture, is apparent in the post-exilic era. It also became the second (then first) language of many. You will also find Greek, Persian, Arabic, Iberian, French, German, Slavic and Turkic influence on vocabulary and syntax. There are further examples, of course. 1
