DBMormon Posted June 5, 2012 Author Posted June 5, 2012 I am curious and I realize the evidence scientifically is very strong for evolution and the data indicates that Monkeys and Humans are both descendants of the same ancient being. With that said why aren't all the other Humanoids and Mokeyoids that were transitional stages around today. Why did monkeys in their varying types survive and human beings in thier basically one type allowing some room for color and a few differing traits. What happened to cro magnum man, neanderthals, ect...? With the limited travel of humans until the last 2,000 years, why don't we find cro magnons on some island somewhere or neanderthals on some isolated area? just seems a bit odd. Something survives for 25,ooo years and vanishes. Not saying I lean one way or the other just feel like we are never given enough evidence to conclude anything. Every single thing in this world seems to involve having faith..... Guys like me even have to have faith to understand how a TV works. 2
Anti-NOMunistJackMormon Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 LOL hmmm yeah I agree with nuances between attending AND believing, but you're a believer or you aren't. You either believe in the BOM, JS, and the Temple or you don't. How someone get's there doesn't really matter IMO.

Sure they do. Homo sapiens is an ape. That's a mental hurdle that many Young Earth Creationists are unable or unwilling to make. Man is an animal, a mammal, a primate, a great ape, so closely related to our closest relative (only 3 percent of our DNA is different) that some have called us the Third Chimpanzee. When Christians learn to deal with those basic biological facts, they will be free to focus on the truly important things.

To say there is no qualitative difference between humans and apes is absurd and bad science. We are not the same species.And fyi I don't care what "young earth creationists" say. You really need to read at least one of the umpteen evolution threads here before you start picking cherry-picking old quotes out of old threads out of context to argue against what you think they say.
