why me Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 He was shot in the back, fell out the window, and was most likely shot some more. He was murdered. Let me put it this way: no one with JS who survived found him to be a coward. In fact, just the opposite. JS went to the window to save the people who were also in the room. And by doing so, he did save their lives since bullets would have been flying everywhere if he didn't go to the window.I believe that the people who survived found him to be a hero.

This, too, more tellingly, since the object of their actions was to effect the death of Joseph Smith (and, to no little extent, his brother Hyrum, as well), which aim was achieved entirely.So, as a matter of intellectual curiousity, whether they killed him (which they did), or merely pressed him to the extreme of jumping to his ultimate death, they are just as guilty of his demise.However, a witness wrote that not only did Hyrum die with a ball in his face, but Joseph was killed by another ball that hit him hard enough to force him to fall out that infamous window. And at times they do a good job in leading people away. I can say that they lie for devil because they accuse the lds of lying for the lord.
