Freedom Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 That quote sums it up about as well as I ever could. It is as authorative )ugh whatever that word is) as you will get without further clarification in Latter-day revelation. The doctrines of the atonement suffice for any sin that is repented of, so I'm personally never planning on dancing very close to the permenantly cast out line.Sinning against the holy ghost, like the doctrine of shedding innocent blood, is not made very clear in the scriptures. Many church leaders have provided their opinion on the matter but otherwise we do not have much to go on.
ged1650 Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 There are reasons young men do not fulfill their missionary duties. None of them are anybodies business, especially judgemental brothers. JUDE!!!!! I coulddn't believe what he said. If he were my kid I'd probabley make him walk home.I am amazed how this thread morphed into a discussion concerning the Denial of the Holy Ghost. This was astounding as it unfolded. I am sitting with my jaw salck and my eyes glezed over wondering how we got from point a, idiot missionary brother, to point v, Denial of the Holy Ghost. I'm just shaking my head.Ged
