Any church has the constitutional right to participate in politics in any way that doesn't violate the First Amendment, or the Religious Test clause.

Obviously you only want to focus on just the LDS church and not the other churches or groups that backed Prop. 8.

Yes that is true since church members gave over 50% of the money to prop 8 and over 70% of the manhours to pass this proposition. Of course I want to focuse on just the LDS church. No other church or group came close to the massive effort of the Mormon Church. It might by why it is being called "The Mormon Proposition". There is a movie about this if you are interested in understanding why the church has become the focal point on this proposition. If not, you can pretend to remain clueless and think of it as just persecution of an innocent scapegoat. At this point I doubt if anyone will get you to see why the church is solidly linked to the passing of prop 8.

My heart goes out to all vets who suffer with PTSD. It can be devastating to lives and relationships. Unfortunately the VA is largely just not equipped to deal with more than just the suface issues. It does a good job for things that turn up on an X-Ray. A therapist named Glasser has done some quality work with vets, and I can endorse his model.

When my first son was born I was in the military. I cost us a grand total of $7.50 for him to be born in a military hospital. It is A LOT different now. But still better than private medical insurance.

Hey, you can remain clueless on the unjustified attacks and smears the church and its members got afterwards, and also how the claims that the church is hardcore homophobic is as ridiculous as the claims that the Jews control the majority of wealth in the world.

You know I said neither of those things. I was only responding to your claim that the church was unfairly blamed from prop 8. Here is what you wrote again. Evidently you forgot what I was responding to.

And this

The Catholics, EVs, as well as the Black and Hispanic voting groups were actually the biggest contributors to Prop 8's victory, not us.

The churches ties to Prop 8 are not random nor are they an innocent scapegoat.

SO? That is not the point. The point is that the Church was targeted, actually singled out, for the members participation in the democratic process. I didn't see groups of homosexual protestors marching in South Central to black churches IE; AME.

Whatever. If you feel the need to paint the entire pro gay marriage which currently is over half of the United States with a broad brush for the actions of a handful of vandals, feel free.

It is apparent that the majority of "anybody but Romney" is a Conservative notion.

I don't think so. I think most of the attacks against Romney primarily originated with liberals that some conservatives primarily the liberal ones, i.e. libertarians such as Alex Jones/Ron Paul types then picked up.

True Conservatives in my view don't jump on the anti-Romney band-wagon because we know very well he's being misrepresented and that double standards are being applied.

Romney will be the lefts worst nightmare, because he's the most balanced and intelligent and experienced of the bunch. He has actual experience in all the relevant issues, and knows what he's talking about. People, namely the critical conservatives need to get beyond the anti-mormon equivalent sound bites about him, and get to know him. Watch his recent health care presentation over at C-span. Watch some of his discussions to various groups in the various states, like Union groups etc. You see how really conservative and smart the man is, and it's not an act. If Reagan was around today, these same so-called conservatives would be condemning him. Reagan so-called flip-flopped a lot more than Romney, and Reagan other than Lincoln was likely one of the best and most conservative President's we've had.
