Bernard Gui
I'm wondering if the bloom hasn't already fadedfrom the rose. Haven't heard much lately, which is curious considering what a red-hot topic itwas for a while. Given the lack of response here, perhaps it really was just a flash in the pan after all. BernardAs far as I can tell, the show is pretty much sold out through the end of the year. A search for tickets on the website showed the next available pair of tickets being January 19, 2012. So we may not be hearing much about it because they've stopped advertising and trying to get the word out. It's impossible to tell whether a show will be a hit or a flop, a "flash in the pan" or a lasting cultural touchstone. Only time will tell. Obviously, it's a "hit", but it could fade and disappear, or it could be a perennial that plays to audiences for decades to come. As for the discussion here, I think we've said all we could say about it here without more people actually going to see it. It will also begin a touring production around the country and the world soon, so we'll hear more about it in different cities and regions as it comes to town. And there will be an inevitable film version, which will no doubt spark new levels of discussion here and everywhere else. Link to comment
