What kind of moral example does a nation set when that nations says "well there is no law that specifically mentions you, so, since there is no law, I have no morality towards, therefore, prepare yourself for the most inhumane treatment we can think of. Well, let me rephrase, you are outside any law, so no matter what we do to you it will not be inhumane, because there is no law concerning you. And since I only act according the written laws of society, and there is no law to cover you, I am left to the depravity of the human mind on how to treat you"Which is more than likely why they didn't bother to try and capture Bin Laden. However, I think the question was whether the law even applies, not whether we should obey it.

As for my posting on this board and what you claim to not have seen, well that most certainly is your personal problem. and we almost have about the same number of reputation points, so someone must find what I post to be positive.

That is the purpose behind our legal structures to help weed them out. I have repeatedly said I don't have a problem with the Death Sentence for certain crimes, Mass Murder being one of them. What the Constitution demands is a fair trial before a impartial jury of your peers. Anything less is a disservice to Constitution. To use torture, and or the threat of force, in any form to obtain a confession spits in the eye of justice.
