I saw what you wrote about it on the other board, playing to your audience.Way classy.***Incidentally, in another place, where an identical thread was launched and where the participants are pretty happy to find yet another aspect of Mormonism to mock and deride, one of the specific targets is Elder Richard Scott, of the Quorum of the Twelve. They don't like the way he looks, they don't like the way he sounds, they don't like what he says. (They don't like lots of things.)Anyway, I learned, not too terribly long ago, some interesting facts about Elder Scott's General Conference addresses: It seems that he pre-records them in Spanish and in Portuguese, out of a desire to have the Hispanic Saints hear his speeches in his own voice rather than in that of a translator. Part of his measured pace results from the fact that, as I understand it, he has an earpiece in his ear, to which he listens in order to make his English delivery approximate his Spanish/Portuguese delivery. He's evidently been doing this for years.Certainly worthy of ridicule and contempt.Is it alright to ask what the other board is?

Deborah Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Throughout her childhood (and, subsequently, that of her siblings) we returned to this soothing practice of gently massaging our children's heads. I'm a firm believer in this. I got many a restless child asleep with this. My youngest daughter would love to lay her head in my lap during church while I gently moved my fingers over her face. I think it's such a shame that our modern society has made it such a taboo to even touch little children.

My shameful admission is that I didn't read Will's post, because I could see at a glance that it was a long one that waxed rhapsodic about the MoCon, the sort of thing that doesn't interest me (in fact, it looks a lot like one he posted last year about conference). Sorry, Will. As a result, I also ignored the posts that referred to it, so I missed whatever accusation to which you refer. So whatever is was, since two wrongs make a right, you are perfectly right. Right?

Grab lunch inbetween, watch second broadcast. Get ride over to stake centre and pray the pizza isn't gone by then. Claim mother's room and take out my snacks and DS and sit in really nice rocking chair. Halfway through turn off lights and just listen to broadcast in absolute darkness.Sunday I'm catching the first session online, and I'm missing the finale because I'm going bowling with my disabled friends(they are disabled so I think it counts as visiting the sick).
