ELF1024 Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 It's peeing upstream.Yes, but the water is filthy anyway... why you would want to drink out of that fountain I have no idea... better to stick to the Rod and eat magic fruit than drink water polluted with sacred cow urine. However, if you bathe in the filthy water seven times, I hear you can cure leprosy.
David T Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Only if you seek to misinterpret it that way, and leave out the entire Hebrew writing structure, but hey to each there own. ???
LDS Guy 1986 Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 I prefer heretical. That works too but Walker was looking for a title that was neutral which orthodox is. It's the kind nice way to say you are not sure about everything the Church teaches, but so still believe in God!
LDS Guy 1986 Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 LDS Guy 1986:I have no problem with the inspired words of the Prophets as supported by http://newsroom.lds....mormon-doctrineThis deals with doctrine not scripture, there is slight differences with them. For example all the GC talks and Ensign/Liahona articles from the GA's are considered inspired (or scriptures) even though they are not sustained like revelations that lead to doctrine are. You have revelation which is doctrine, and inspired words which is scripture and subject to error. Doctrine is seen more permanent and unchanging in nature while scripture is subject to more error and misinterpretation, IMO
