David Bokovoy Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 Glad you guys enjoyed this read. This is one of the best posts I've read on the topic. Go Cougars! And much love to Brandon. Very much still a part of us.
BCSpace Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 A very great post. Thnaks.BYU has put principle in front of victories. BYU is not like everyone else and that is what draws people to BYU. I have heard countless radio hosts, who not being Mormon, are in favor of what BYU did. One particular radio host said if BYU has the integrity to kick a young man off the team for violating the law of chastity, he knows where he wants to send his daughter to college. BYU!Unfortunately, there are a lot of women, some mothers, who would cringe at that.
Garden Girl Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 This morning on ESPN there was a panel of 5 coaches discussing the BYU situation with Brandon Davies... and to a person they all were favorable in their assessments. In fact one coach told that he had coached at West Point for six years... and how West Point had a very strict Honor Code that the cadets were to abide by, and how he had to suspend several players for breaking the Code.I was so pleased to see the thoughtful comments and support, with absolutely no mocking or saying how old fashioned or out of touch BYU is... rather, they all expressed their respect not only for the level of standards and commitment, but for the University to set their own policies for their institution, as each institution has the right to do.Refreshing, and on national TV before the start of the tournament....GG
