To be honest though, other than watchtower.org I am not aware of a site from which one can extract quasi-official JW doctrine. Perhaps if there is a JW member reading this s/he can point us to a site with a forum with a Q&A format.JWs are not honest about their beliefs. They try to hide their history. Therefore the only option you have left is their critics.

And I take particular, personal offense. But EVERY religion does it, no exceptions - which is not to say that every teacher in said-religions does it; there are always plenty of people who do their level best to teach only the truth as they see it.Just to add my "witness": I too was taught the hypothesis that this world is made up of "recycled" matter, which explains the ancient fossil record. I was also taught that physical evidence is unreliable because Satan messes with it to confuse believers. But even as a child I thought that was playing too dirty and that God would never allow it....

There may be embarrassing episodes in Mormon history that some Mormons may be reluctant to talk about understandably, but they do not make a concerted attempt to hide them. Mormon historians generally tend to be honest in their histories, and the Church institutionally does not make a concerted attempt to hide its history.

CA Steve Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 A CNN article today on end of world predictions (CNN Article "End Of World") mentions a JW pamplet which listed 1975 at the beginning of the 1000 year reign. It also states that while it was never official doctrine, it came to be accepted by many members.

Tell us, when will you live up to the standard you want others to live by?

Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Jehovah's Witnesses have no strict doctrine in terms of evolution, for them the Bible does not really mention the issue and so much of what is presented is speculation. The tendency among Jehovah's Witnesses is to question Darwinism as the answer, but it is not specifically set in stone as their doctrine.
