Aruru & Khnum & Nammu & Ptah) : " ... and God said unto Michael: Bring me a clod from the four corners of the earth, and water out of the four rivers of paradise. And when Michael brought them God formed Adam ... " [bartholomew 4:52] "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, ... " [Genesis 2:8] " ... for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." [Genesis 3:19] He also appropriated some of the attributes of other deities (cf. Baal). As names were believed to have power over things and a commandment said his name should not be taken in vain, worshippers substituted the word Adonai ("Lord") beneath the vowel-less 'Yhwh', which created the artificial 'Yehova' / 'Jehovah'. A link with Ea is proposed by David Rohl in the second volume of his search to historify the biblical stories, where the puzzling statement "And God said unto Moses, 'I am that (which) I am': and he said, 'Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, "I am" hath sent me unto you.' The Scriptures even Go to much trouble of explaining that. So did Joseph Smith... "Two personages standing above me in the air"Satan is said to be "cast out of the sky to the ground." Christ says... "I saw Satan like lightning fall to the earth"

He didn't. God is still God. Satan was cast out of the presence of God. Satan claims to BE God, but he is not God, nor will he ever be.

He *isn't* an angel of light, but he can put on appearances.....

volgadon Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 I think this is a reflection of the developing Jewish mysticism, where there are ten spheres of the righteous kingdom and ten of the other side. In the air between the kingdom of the other side and the earth reside the demon Kafkafuni and his two wives and below them sundry other demons which posses men and beasts.
Bill Hamblin Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Air in Greek is aēr. It is not the same as sky/heaven. It is the region between the earth and sky. Satan was cast out of heaven/sky, but ruled the zone of aēr.
