Anyone that tells you that all the discovering down there has been done is simply full of it...More things are being discovered there everyday...Just that the ruins are not easy to excavate down there in parts...in Chiapas the EZLN movement pretty much controls the highlands and selvas regions in an uneasy peace. Not to mention the crazy mountainous terrain...some ruins are even inaccessible (found under water). Such is the case in the Lagos de Colon and the Lagos de Montebello, as well as near the Isla del Carmen in the Laguna de Terminos.

I'm just not supposed to believe there's any discovering left because I'm one of those awful critics.

Nah...you aint so bad...we shouldn't discount the 95 percent that is left to discover...nor should we depend completely on the five percent that we currently have.
